Hi,

I'm in need of some help to overclock my Ryzen 5 1600.

Since my Scythe Fuma is recently been doing a great job in cooling my Ryzen CPU, why not overclock it a bit so I can get the most out of my money?

My temps are load (OCCT) 45 degrees min, 48 degrees max which makes an average of 47 degrees.
Idle is constantly around 25-30 degrees.

Room temperature is around 20 degrees and I have 4 case fans and also two on my CPU cooler which makes the case and the CPU really cool.

So my question is, what is a safe voltage to begin with, and what would be a safe but good overclock for this CPU? With this I mean a good overclock but won't affect the lifespan of the CPU too much.

Here are my specs:

AMD Ryzen 5 1600
ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS (Running latest bios)
G.Skill DDR4 3200 MHz DDR4 (Currently running at 3066 MHz)
Scythe Fuma CPU cooler
CX750
GTX 970 4GB

Thanks in advance,
Tony

Nothing over 1.4V for daily use. Anything below that ( I use 1.35V) should be fine. Expect lifetime to go down with more voltage however. If you want this to ast 4 years, I recommend 1.3V or lower.

Alright thanks.

Currently at 3,8 GHz running at 1,35V stable.

Load under OCCT, temps around 60 degrees. Now try to lower the voltage, I guess?

Edit:

3.8 GHz stable at 1.30V
3.9 GHz stable at 1.35V
4.0 GHz not stable at 1.4V (maybe stable when going higher then 1.4V but that is too risky I guess)
