Hi. I'd want to ask this community for advice on these PC Components:

  • Motherboard - Asrock b550m pro4
  • CPU - AMD Ryzen 5 5600
  • GPU - ASRock Radeon RX 6700 XT Challenger Pro 12GB OC
  • RAM - G Skill Ripjaws (2x8) 16GB 3600mhz
  • SSD - Kingston SNV2S1000G
  • PSU - FSP HV Pro 650W 85+ Bronze
  • Case - Montech X3 Mesh

Any recommendations or parts are fine aswell

Games that I will be playing are Battlefield titles, COD titles/ Warzone, Hogwarts legacy. Game titles for early 2023 and older.
Resolution preference is (<= 1440p)

The PC will be use for work as well.

is the PSU enough for these components ?

I have seen from other users of 6700 XT that they have an issues with some games and crashes. I would like to know if this is still relevant today or is it fixed by the driver updates.

Your build looks nicely balanced, nothing obviously wrong with it. However, I don't know anything about your PSU, I've never heard of it so my only concern is it might be of lower quality. 650W is enough if you have a good quality PSU.

As for the 6700 XT, it did have some crashing issues, but this isn't unusual as most GPUs have a bad driver from time to time. I haven't heard many complains recently, so I assume it was resolved.

Hi thanks for the input, I will be purchasing a different PSU for my build, to be more specific I will choose "Cooler Master MWE 750w V2". Is this decent for my build.

Thanks in advance.

Is that the Gold rated PSU? If so, yes that's a good unit. Even if it's their Bronze version, I believe it's still pretty good. 750w is more than you need for your build, but it's better to have extra capacity than be pushing the limits of a smaller unit.

As I said earlier, your build looks nicely balanced in price to performance of all the components.

The reason i thought about 750w is for a bit of headroom and for safety.

Thanks mate.

the MWE V2 gold is a mid tier PSU, not the best but not bad either. I would say spend a bit more and get 10 years peace of mind.

Thanks for the input mate. I'll take this into account though, however I might upgrade the whole stuff but that will be 4-5 yrs from now...so I think the MWE V2 Gold is a good choice for me.

I have another question since I'll be using a RX 6700 XT. Since I'm new in building the pc, I have seen the 6700 XT has a power socket in there additionally PSU's have some kind of differences regarding the power cables included to the PSU.

What is better:
• A separate power cables for each pins
• or Using a single cable but it has another short dangling connector to connect to my GPU
