I changed the cpu to an FX-4300 because for gaming quad is all that is necessary, and the processor also has a combo deal for the psu you picked so it dropped the price a bit there. And the compatibility issue was you had an AM3+ motherboard but changing it to an AM3+/AM3 fixes that.

Is this going to be primarily for gaming? And what is the budget?

If you are a student at college buy the microsoft student upgrade. Install windows but do not put in any key, then install the upgrade. Saves 30 or so and works great.

And i only changed the cpu because you said gaming is the primary use and a quad core is all that is necessary, but if you'll be doing video rendering too then you might want the 8 core in which case you can just change it to the 8 core and there won't be any compatibility issues. (The quad core will render fine by the way, but 8 core would certainly do better.)

And if you do pick the 4 core you can spend the bit of extra money saved on something like a 212 EVO for cpu cooling in case you want to overclock some time down the road.
