Hello, im looking to upgrade my current pc build but im having a hard time deciding if i should get an i5-7600 with a gtx 1060 3gb or an i7 7700 with a gtx 1050 ti. Im looking mainly towards longevity (i dont want to upgrade in a long time) and gaming.

Additional info:
-I could stretch my budget and get an i7 7700 with a 1060 3gb or an i5 7600 and a 1060 6gb. but i dont really want to unless worth.
-the price difference between i5 and i7 is around $120 dollars in here. The gtx 1050 ti: $180, 1060 3gb: $265 and 1060 6gb is $340.
-Not considering k processors because the price difference in buying a cooler and z270 mobo is way too much in here

Thanks!

It will be extremely unbalanced but I would start with the 7700 with the 1050Ti. In a few years you could upgrade to the 1070 which would be a perfect marriage.

Have you considered a Ryzen system? Something like a Ryzen 1600 with a 1060 6GB?

The 7700 does run pretty warm. I don't recommend the stock cooler. Investing $35(Cryorig H7) in the 7700's future is an exercise in responsibility and is an investment. I'd not want you to spend money but that investment makes sense.

Yeah i think ill end up with a ryzen 1600 with a 1060 6gb if i can afford it or an rx 480. Is the stock cooler enough if i ever get to oc'ing it? ill get an msi b350 gaming pro mobo and probably a cx450m or evga 500b psu
