[SOLVED] Help with PC upgrade

Hello everyone,

I am interested in building a new gaming PC and I already have two components from the previous build (3.5 years old) that I would like to keep (Unless you guys think it is a really bad idea):
Thermaltake Versa N21 Midi Tower (black)
EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply

I have already decided to get Ryzen 5 2600X but I need recommendations for the motherboard, graphics card, RAM and SSD. Total cost (including the CPU) should be below 700 USD.

and i would say depending on ur budget to get vega 56 or if u cant get that to get a 1660 or rx 580 proboably the 580 8gb would do better if u have a bigger budget get a 2070

That is an extremely poor quality build. Not recommended at all. Very mediocre parts selected.
OP should stick to my earlier build for better value for money.

To start with,

The CPU is poor.

The board chosen is pretty bad...

the cpu is the same the gpu will run faster. i have a vega 56 and i have a ton of issues. the sata ssd dont matter if m.2 or sata the dude can choose there isnt too much of a difference about 3 seconds on the boot. and the board isnt that bad its basically a buffed up asrock b450 pro 4 with rgb. also the gigabyte vega 56 is the worst one there is it has tons of problems. the aourus again sucks and i included a cpu cooler that the dude can use to oc his cpu.

The CPU is not the same out of the box. The GPU will not run faster.
I have both Vega 56 and 2060 in two machines and you really cannot tell the difference unless comparing specific games which take advantage of each card's strength over another respectively. If your card failed, that doesnt mean the entire lot is defective.
When you can get 250% more drive speed around the same price range, why choose a SSD with poor value???
And your buffed up ASrock board is so bad, it basically fails most of the benchmarks and audio tests compared to the Aurous, not to mention it does not support XMP the most crucial thing to run high speed RAM.

Let me ask you, how many machines did you build exactly???

Thanks for your suggestion. To be honest, I'm not very happy with the choice of the video card since the reviews are not that great and it is quite old. After doing some research I am leaning towards GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. However, since I would prefer buying AMD components simply because of the monopolistic behavior exhibited by nVidia and Intel in the past years, I think I will wait for the release of AMD Navi cards and the next Ryzen generation and then consider my options after the initial reviews are out. Waiting for two weeks more seems worth it.

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, there are two issues with it. First, I did not want a suggestion for a hard disk since I don't need one. I probably should have mentioned that explicitly. Also, the 700 price constraint was supposed to include the cost of the processor, so you broke the budget limit.

Yeah, you can wait for the new components, but the rest would be pretty much similar.
