I was trying to build a battery powered portable xbox using a 400 watt inverter (which i know is enough) and a sealed lead acid battery. I am wondering if this battery is enough power for it because when I run the 360 and a monitor at the same time the inverter's alarm goes off and everything shuts off. Please any suggestions

ok so my computer runs at 100w peak my monitor like 50 watts. I bought an acutal UPS for my system. It has 3, 7.5 amp hour batteries in series. It runs my system for about 40 minutes if needed. You xbox 360 is pulling 170 watts while playing a game and like 150 at idle. Your battery is way to small to do what you want even if your setup was working right now youd get like 10-15 minutes of play time. My suggestion find an outlet.

Its a 12volt 10 amp hour lead acid battery i bought off newegg... I think its designed for a UPS.

Funny. I've got a similar project.

I'm using 3 12v 18ah SLA's in parallel, making 54ah. 400 watt inverter. Wonder if that would be enough, or if I'd need more voltage.
