hy folks.i am planning building a cheap pc mainly for movies through hdmi on my tv, skype and general browsing/like office use.i've got the old c2d e6600, 2x1 gb ddr2 ,a hd 5450 320 gb sata hdd and a dvd+rw....i have a CHIEFTEC PSU MODEL:GPS-350EB-101 rated at 350w...

My question is...is this enough to power the sistem safely?the total amps on 12v railways is 25 amps.regards ,gigi

Sounds like an AMD APU build would be a good match here. AMD a series, eg A4-6300 with an FM2 motherboard. You dont need a graphics card with these processors, just don't get the most powerful ones because the build may require more power than what your current PSU can deliver.

I would recommend getting a motherboard with 6bg/s SATA and an SSD reserved for windows, this will make it a lot faster than your current build. Also consider picking up 4gb of DDR3 RAM

Well I got all the parts mentioned above for 30 quid on ebay.my main rig is a 3930k,16 gb ddr3,a r9 280x,coolermaster hax x case and a corsair tx750 psu.the parts from ebay...well I want a cheap pc for my dad to watch movies through hdmi on his tv,skype and some office work/web surfing...just asked strictly if the chieftec 350w psu mentioned above will do the trick...
