Will a 500 watt psu be enoughf for a gtx 1060 and an i5 6600k? I just built a new computer and my psu died. Now i need to send it back and get a new one so i will take a week or two. I have a maybe 5 - 6 year old PSU (CX500) at home. It has a wierd squeking noise coming from it so im a bit worried. So will it be safe to use it?

Avoid using the Corsair CX power supply. It's a low quality power supply in the first place, and it making unusual noises definitely is a worrying sign.

A good 450 watts power supply or higher will be sufficient with an i5-6600K+GTX 1060 if not overclocked highly, otherwise 500 watts or higher is recommended for head room.
