Question Help with PSU

So yesterday evening my pc just randomly shut down. I first thought it would be the power supply “RM750” so i plugged in a random “CX750” i had lying around and the pc turned on fine. But then just to be sure i plugged the broken “RM750” into my spare pc and it worked fine so now im not sure its the powersupply thats something wrong with. So both supplys work in my spare pc but only the “CX750” works in my main pc. Help appreciated. PC specs are a nvidia gtx 1080 with a 5880k i7 on a strix x99 gaming motherboard and 16 gb of hyperX ddr4 fury
