goodday all

i recently got a ati radeon 9600 pro with 128 ddr ram. i removed me geforce2mx400 agp and replaced it with my radeon. i booted up in windows and removed nvida drivers. i then tried to install the ati drivers and an error message comes up saying that i have to install the standard vga drivers before running setup. so i uninstalled the drivers from device manager and the error message still appears. i reboot into safe mode, dosent work. i try disabling the device, dosent work. when i try and find a suitable driver and uncheck all the boxes it goes and finds an oem11.inf, so i rename that file hopeing that it will then change to standard drivers, dosent work. my specs are asus a7n8x deluxe mobo, amd athlon 1ghz, 512 ddr ram.

thank you

Sounds like you need to download and install the most recent version of your MOBO's AGP drivers.

Try going <A HREF="http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_2.45" target="_new">HERE</A> first download/install the unified drivers, and then trying the process again.

Make sure the old Detonators are gone.
