Help with RAM Speed Settings

I just purchased new RAM for my PC (2x8gb DDR3 2400MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro). I have an ASUS P8Z68-V LX running an i7-2600k processor.

When I isntalled the ram, it defaulted to 1333MHz. And when I try to adjust the speed settings, I can't get the system to boot. Using the onboard overclocking, I did get the RAM to run at around 2250MHz, but using the automated settings requires that I also overclock the CPU... and the CPU is too old and has too much use to survive running overclocked, so the system hangs and crashes.

Can anyone help me with the proper settings? It's very much appreciated - thank you in advance!

Might try manually at 10-10-10-27 2133 1.65, or drop to 9-9-9-24 1866 1.6 and see if either works and can go from there.... Unless really abused a 2600K should easily run 4.3/4.4 anyway. I built some that are still running 4.7/4.8 (and some run 24/7)
