I'm looking to upgrade my old PC. I know my best option would be to retire it and go for a new thing, but for now an upgrade is all I can afford.

I have an Asus P6T Deluxe V2, with 6GB of RAM from XMS3 6GB Triple Channel DDR3 kit.

I'm trying to figure out which would be my better option of upgrade the mnemory

If I understood correctly, I would have to buy a Kit of 3 if I wanted to maintain the Triple Channel. I'm guessing for that to happen, I can't just buy 3 units of the same model of a Dimm, correct?

Kingston website shows 2 Kits of 3 compatible with the board:
KVR1333D3N9K3/12G
12GB (4GB 2Rx8 512M x 64-Bit x 3 pcs.)
PC3-10600 CL9 240-Pin DIMM Kit

And the
KVR1066D3N7K3/12G
12GB (4GB 2Rx8 512M x 64-Bit x 3 pcs.)
PC3-8500 CL7 240-Pin DIMM Ki

Crucial, only shows me this, so I guess I won't be able to have triple Channel with Crucial
  • CT51264BD160B - Crucial 4GB DDR3L-1600 UDIMM
  • CT2K51264BD160B - Crucial 8GB Kit (2 x 4GB) DDR3L-1600 UDIMM

G-Skill shows
  • F3-10666CL7T-12GBRH Ripjaws DDR3-1333MHz CL7-7-7 1.50V 12GB (3x4GB)
  • F3-8500CL7Q-16GBRL Ripjaws DDR3-1066MHz CL7-7-7 1.50V 16GB (4x4GB)
  • F3-10666CL9T2-12GBNQ Performance DDR3-1333MHz CL9-9-9 1.50V 12GB (6x2GB)

I confess, this seems all "greek to me", can anybody help me shed some light on this? Which of these kits would be a better choice to upgrade? Do I have other options?

Thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot!
