Question Help with random issue

I bought the KH ports on PC a while ago but have noticed that when I play any of the games that don't run on Unreal 4, they start out fine but after a few minutes turn into laggy messes. I'm not sure why this is the case when 3 runs fine but should logically be taking up more power to run.

Here's what specs I could find. It's an ASUS prebuilt I got at Best Buy a few years back

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6400 CPU @ 2.70GHz 2.70 GHz
Installed RAM:8.00 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX970 4GB
Memory: DDR4 8G
Storage: HDD 1 TB

Are you sure the problem is the game engine?
Have you monitored your temperatures when you play other games that do lag?
since unreal engine 4 games run fine, what are your temperatures when you play them?


Have you tried using DDU to re-install GPU drivers?

Sorry for sounding like a bit of a dummy, but I'm not sure how to monitor the temps. But I also mostly play older games and this is the first time I've run into this issue. I figured it would be safe enough to run since they're all older titles at this point.

And no, I can't say I have. I'm not super computer literate. It's part of why I got a prebuilt lol.
