While the motherboard doesn't support that exact speed it should work but it will probably be downclocked to 2933mhz. You could always spend the $5 more and get the same version that is 3200mhz.

I would also update the BIOS to ensure compatibility/stability for the memory.

Oh shoot i missed that, i doubt theres much different from 2400 to 3200? But 5 bucks more for 3200 id do. I dont think they model comes in a lower speed than 3000 or id get it. Good eye

Check the motherboard QVL list. It will say what speeds specific ram run at. For ryzen you want ram with Samsung b dies in them. Also make sure to update bios because they've made it easier to get higher speeds with ram

From what I've read Ryzen works/performs better with faster RAM.

http://www.legitreviews.com/ddr4-memory-scaling-amd-am4-platform-best-memory-kit-amd-ryzen-cpus_192259/6
"By going to 3200 MHz over 2133 MHz we were seeing near 50% performance improvement in simple memory bandwidth tests and a 16% performance jump in our 1080P gaming test. Hopefully AMD board markers will update their UEFI builds to allow for higher than 3200MHz memory kit use without needing to mess with the adjusting the bus speed of the processor (RefClck)."

ddr3 i thought didnt make much a difference, why is there such a huge gain with faster ram speed for ddr4 and am4?

Also the ram you linked isnt RGB, kinda want rgb doing a theme build

50% performance seems like a lot. Why such a difference now?

Yeah those are more expensive than the ram i listed, and those got bad reviews

They're top notch sticks, don't read Amazon reviews, they're garbage 80% of the time.
And as I mentioned, those aren't RGB, they're single color LEDs.
The Vengeance RGB is what you want for those then if you really won't go with the Trident Zs which are better overall.

I own all of this but of crouse the cpu, mobo and ram. The msi 1070 is not going to match but i think i will get a volta gpu down the line and have it fit. Or ill figure out a way to plasti dip this and have it be jet black. Just not sure if you can plasti dip the clear red parts for the led to shine through on them. I HATE RED

EDIT: I wouldnt mind a Black, Powder blue and white build. To represent Cloud 9 esports team. I liked the look of the MSI Krait, but got bad reviews. Dont want to risk getting a bad mobo

Eeeeeerm, practically everything there is overpriced.... And what's with the HDD? a 500GB WD Black for $60????
WD Blacks are only worth it in the high capacity range, and even then the X300 and Barracuda Pro offer similar performance for much cheaper.
Not to mention only a 1600 and GTX 1070 to go with it..
Next time please run this by someone first. :(

Ive had that drive for like 4 years now, still going strong! had a best buy gift card at the time and that was the best i could get lol. Like i said i own all that stuff now but the mobo ram and cpu in that list.

I chose the 1600 because im not a fan of spending more than 230$ on a cpu. I dont know why.

I dont like the tomahawk lol, its ugly to me. And i was debating with the 1700, but i read plenty of stuff saying i can stream 720p and game fine with a 1600

What exactly isnt fantastic about it?
