Hi folks,
Currently have an 850 Evo 250GB in my DAW that I have no complaints about, as well as 2x 2TB Barracudas.
I'm starting to wonder if I should get a dedicated SSD for certain sample libraries, as they tend to be somewhat demanding. Streaming from an HDD works for some but I currently have one housing my less demanding libraries/virtual instruments, as well as acting as storage. My OS SSD is running out of room however, and I'd like to keep it more OS/programs focused and not bog it down with GB's of samples.
What I'm wondering is: what's the "sweet spot" for capacity/speed/price? Value, in other words. I'm considering an 850 EVO 500GB, but with libraries ranging from 50-100GB, I'm not sure.
