Help with SSD upgrade for my Hp laptop

Hello,
I have a Hp Pavilion DV6 and I'm planning on updating my hard drive with an intel 520 180Gb from best buy.
I have a lot of music (20gb+ of music), videos, pictures, a lot of programs like photoshop, flstudio, visual studio and I have a couple of games (2-3 games).
My questions are:
I would like to keep my music library and main programs including games on my SSD. Is 180Gb enough?
IF its not enough space should I get a bigger SSD or replace my DVD drive with my Hard drive and have my SSD as my main disk?

IMO 180Gb is enough for your OS, programs, and frequently used data files, just leave 10-20% of the drive free. I would be more inclined to put the most used programs and games on first and then see how much space you have left before putting a huge amount of music, pictures, and video on there, that I would rather see most of on a HDD. I tend to keep only my most accessed data files on my SSD.

Bigger is almost always better, but it is a matter of budget. Also, unless you are using a gift card at Best Buy take a look for the best prices at the time you buy from http://www.logicbuy.com/categorydeals/computers/hard-drives-ssd (I see that Best Buy has the 180 on sale for $130 right now -- good price).

I have several, but don't trust them for backup -- they tend to fail right when you need them, usually due to corruption in the master boot record. USB 3.0 is definitely faster than 2.0, but faster yet is a direct SATA connection with an ICYDock MB971SP-B if you have space ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817994143&Tpk=MB971SP-B ). It takes up the space of a DVD drive and will let you use either 2.5 or 3.5 inch internal drives and pop them in and out.
