im attempting to use my CPU (Core i3-4130T ) from my Alienware alpha(Its no longer reading my hard drive), and using it with my my dell XPS 630i. the xps uses a Core 2 quad processor. Would it work? and would it be an over all improvement?
What do you need?
Sorry, the message didn't load right! You wont be able to put a core I3 processor in the socket for a core 2 quad, since they are from completely different generations. Your HDD may have failed if it isn't being read properly.
No Ryzen wouldn't work. You must have a CPU from the same manufacturer and generation. The core 2 quad is about the fastest CPU that the computer can take.
the alienware alpha sata piece is non-removable as far as i can tell smh.Could be a bad SATA port or cable. try plugging it into another port.
Depends. What exact core 2 quad do you have and what core 2 extreme are you looking for?
I wouldnt upgrade to either. Cost too much for no upgrade. You cant upgrade that pslc. Id just buy or build a new one.
