I have this pc that im planning to upgrade :

GPU: AMD RX 460

CPU: AMD Athlon II X4 860K

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A88M-HD+ R.30

The GPU and CPU are going to another old pc, but I'm not quite sure about staying with the same motherboard (i do think I can't, and that I need a 450, in case I found this one : MSI B450M PRO-M2, I think it should work.

I'm planning, 100%, to get a :

GPU: Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 Gaming 8G 8GB GDDR5 for around 200 €

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 for around 170€

Any advice of something by the same price more or less that would be better? Do I need the motherboard?

Also, after I change everything (just plugging in I mean), which I will, what are the steps I should follow to get everything to work properly? I never done anything like this.

The Ryzen 2600 is a good CPU and so is the GPU in the 580...yes you will need a new motherboard and the B450 is the right one...Also you will need some DDR4 RAM, the faster the better so the best speed you can afford..something like DDR4 3000Mhz...but lower speed is also okay..just depends on how much you want to spend..

Oh yes I forgot that, as I have DDR3. The DDR4 3000MHz was my first pick, 8GB, which I think they're enough for all the things and games I plan to use it for. I've been checking for incompatibilty issues all night and I finally dicovered that as well.
