Help with upgrading my pc

So right now I just got a new RX 580 and my issue is that I cant put the card in the PCI E x16 slot cause its to close to my cpu cooler and ram slots so I am stuck using the x4 slot. My current cpu is an i5 3470 and I have 8 gb of ram. What i'm wondering is should I upgrade my cpu motherboard and ram or just get a new motherboard so I am able to use the PCI E x16 slot. my budget is around $300 maybe a little bit more.

No need, yes, it is not full bandwidth like PCIE x16. However, your CPU will probably limit your FPS more than that x4 PCIE. Just enjoy the games and update later on with more budget.
