help with upgrading pc

hello, currently my pc has an fx 8350 and a gtx 1070 and im looking to possibly upgrade to an intel processor, this one to be exact https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117729 but i dont know what motherboard to get or even if i should upgrade or not. can anyone help me with this?

I'd say wait a couple months for the 4- and 6- core AMD Ryzen cpu's to get released. Nothing firm yet but looks like 7700k level performance for less.

Your system should be doing pretty well.

upgrade if you can afford it, the fx 8350 paired with a 1070 is a HUGE bottleneck. 1050 ti's tend to bottleneck the fx 8350 (personal experience) Anyways Intel is never a bad choice but Ryzen looks promising. Sadly if you want a lower end cheaper Ryzen CPU you will have to wait till Q2 which is a whiles away. If you go for that i5 7500 you will need a 1151 socket motherboard, I'd recommend a b250 or a H270 Don't get a z270 unless you go with a K processor.

yeah i wasn't sure, my friend has an intel i5 4xxx (not sure the numbers) and her computer runs games like GTA V better than mine but I know its because the 8350 bottlenecks the 1070. Is there any info on when the cheaper zen processors will be coming out?
