Help with upgrading to intel cpu and mobo.

That is my system above. All I have changed is put an 8gb ddr3 ram stick, a 600w psu, switched out stock hdd and put in 2 toshiba 3tb hdds, and an amd r9 380x 4gb gpu.

It has become time to upgrade my cpu and motherboard. I want to switch my processor from my amd fx 6200 to intel, as I am seeing intel cpus whooping amd ones.

So, I have a budget of 300-350 US at the most. I dont really want to have to upgrade all my ram sticks, and I think i5 processors utilize ddr3 mobos, right?

So, what i5 or i7 and a matching mobo could would you guys recommend within my range?

What type of ram is used doesn't depend on the cpu but on the mobo. You can use any intel skylake on any lga 1151 socket mainboard. Will you be doing any over clocking? If yes then this is the way to go: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zHybYJ

Nope. It's just smaller. meaning no SLI.
