Here is my current PC
Current CPU I5 3330 3.0GHz
Current Mobo no worth the mention
Current GPU MSI GTX 760 2gb OC
Current Ram G.Skill Ripjaws DDR3 2133 8gb x 2 (not changing)
Current PSU Ultra 550W ATX

I am planning upgrade to the following components
CPU I5 4690k
Mobo Asus z97-a or Gigabyte gaming 3 or MSI (this brand any good over the first 2?)
GPU MSI 970 4gb OC
PSU do I need to upgrade this or is my current PSU good enough
CPU cooling fan Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (or is there a better fan for the same price range?)

Solution
Don't upgrade you CPU. It is still pretty good. Upgrade your GPU to an R9 380x (if AMD) or GTX 970 (if nVIDIA) and you are all set. The GPUs suggested by me will run with the existing psu and it is a good one. So no need to upgrade psu if you stick with these GPUs. Cooler choice is solid.

Agreed with rohitbaran. Start with the GPU and mybe a new PSU. If you can provide a link to your PSU it would be more helpful. But in either case a really good PSU is a great investment that will carry over multiple upgrades. Also consider a new monitor if you think you could use one.
