Dear Group,
I am building a new computer and am having difficulty with the video. I
am using a ATI Radeon 9600SE graphics card with both TV and DVI out. My
motherboard is the SY-P4VTE Via chipset with 8X AGP using a p4 celeron
2.98GHz processor with os 98SE.
First I've downloaded and flashed the bios.
Gotten the latest drivers from the specified manufacturers sites.
Driver installation matrix.
ATI driver SY-P4VTE 4in1 driver result with Castle Wolf
Old Old Can't find GLW_StartOpenGL
Old New Game loads but tears and locks
New Old Blue Screen of Death
New New Blue Screen of Death
The "old" driver was supplied on the CD rom contained with the
hardware.
The "new" driver came from the manufacturer's web site.
I'm stumped. Is there anything else that I can do to
resolve this issue with my current equipment?
There are some settings that are in the BIOS for AGP. I'm
not too familiar with these but they are the default values.
I've cleared the CMOS as well.
Stumped,
John.
