I just bought this monitor as it seemed to have good reviews and am looking to run it at 1440p 144hz, but when i plugged it in with the HDMI cable in the box the max setting was 75hz. I tried both HDMI ports 1 and 2, HDMI 2 limited it to 60hz.
I am using AMD RADEON RX 470 GPU and have a secondary 1080p 60hz monitor connected via dvi.
Is my only option to buy a display port cable? I read that HDMI 2.0 (HDMI port 1 on this monitor) should support 1440p 144hz but i just cant seem to get it working.
I am relatively new to monitors so any help would be greatly appreciated.
