There is a reason anyconnect is somewhat simpler to setup. The vpn appliance cost a fortune and you must buy a license for every client on top of that. Juniper has a similar box that is equally as expensive.
The key to the ease of use is they dynamically install client software via activex. The end user does not have to do much.
Almost all other you have to have a way to distribute and get client software installed.
If you current company has the budget get the solutions from cisco or juniper. You trade off high equipment costs compared to high labor costs to get a person who can design and maintain a vpn solution for employee access.
In any case this is not a beginner project, it is a lot more advanced that just setting...
