hello there folks, i have a self built computer wich is alright now; (plz dont judge my english, i am from norway, and some words might just not pop into my head correctly sometimes)

intel core i5-3350p
asrock z75 pro3 (i think, cant remeber quite surely xD)
cm hyper 212 evo (i lost a tiny spring that is essesential, so using stock cooler now)
8gb corsair ddr3 1600mhz ram
sapphire r9 280x vapor x 3gb oc
1tb wd blue hdd
samsung 840 evo 128gb ssd
cm 690 II advanced

so i feel like this 3nd generation ive bridge cpu is hold back some of the performance, or might be a problem in the future. i am getting an i5 4690k with the asus z97a and a nzxt source s340.
the source case has a window, and i though, maby that hyper 212 evo will look ugly in that case, and i am getting a k cpu for overclocking, so i might just get a mid range water coller right? for the look and the efficiency. Now there are kinda 3 possible outcomes here. I ask and get a spare part for the 212, or i have to buy a new 212 because they dident have a spare part. Or i go for watercooling.

I have seen the poseidon from coolermaster, and it is about 10-13 dollars more than a 212. which quiet and efficient water cooler can i get for under 90 dollars, and is it worth it for the looks? (Taxes makes prices alittle different than if i would convert usd to nok, something cost 80 in the states, and same thing could maybe cost about 100 dollar here in norway

that upgrade isnt going to be a huge increase in performance. why not just overclock the 3350p? honestly a 4670k you're going to see like 5-10% increase at best unless you overclock you might see like 5-15%. still not worth it if you ask me.

p.s. - you can overclock that CPU up to 400mhz over the factory clock.

it really won't be. thats still a really tight cpu. overclock it. you may as well since you have all the stuff to do it. you can bring it up to 3.9ghz and set it to all-core so it runs at 3.9 no matter how many threads you're using. it's literally a few clicks in the bios and BRINGO. i picked out that exact same CPU and MB for my buddy when he built his system and its just really a good CPU still. the 4670k is not THAT much better than what you have at all. if you were going with an i7-6700k i might consider that a decent jump, but if you play mostly games then the 3350p is just fine.

p.s. - i don't think the water cooler is worth it unless you really like the looks. they are convenient since they take up less space though...in case you gotta get in there and fiddle around with something on your motherboard or whatever...but other than aesthetics it really won't provide any true performance benefit.
