can i do this and use the ssd and the gpu from the 1st build till i have enough to upgrade to a 1060 6g or what is the best plan?

Yes you can. and no problems with Old Ssd and OLD Gpu.

will the windows work or do I need to reinstall, I was hoping since both asrocks it will work. I ordered a MSI Z97 GAMING 3 motherboard Z97 Socket LGA1150 i3 i5 i7 DDR3 32G ATX if that works itll give me time to upgrade over time.
