Help with win 7 64

[KSI realsteal]

Hello,i just recently made new build using an old hard drive with legit windows XP 32 bit OEM

can i use the upgrade copy of windows 7 to go to 64 bit from what i've read here and elsware it should be possible but i don't know for sure

Use the double install method after a format.It needs to be a clean install because the other was a 32 bit OS!

i agree w/ area51reopened
its generally never a good idea to upgrade Windows. And you can't upgrade from a 32 bit architecture to a 64 bit. Won't work @ all.
The double install method works %100.

Would have to be a clean install anyway, since there is no direct upgrade path from XP to 7.
