I have a single monitor right now and I'm planing on getting a 21:9 monitor soon and my graphics card has only one display port. My problem is could I use a div port think the card has both dvi-i and dvi-d will it be at full resolution which is 2560x1080. Also will I be able to use to use the other monitor if I'm using one or the other?

Solution
both DVI-D and DVI-I have a maximum resolution of 1920X1080. HOWEVER, dual link DVI-D or dual link DVI-I can support 2560X1600. Now if you tell me what your graphics card is I can tell you if it has multi monitor support or not, and thusly if you can run two displays at once. Here is an image that should help you identify if you have dual link or single link DVI. Cheers :)
