So I am making the switch from AMD to Intel, should've just went with Intel from the get go but better late than never. I found what I think to be a pretty good deal on a gigabyte board here

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128709&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-VigLink-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6146836&SID=ibr2tro6p1000a1700053

I found this board and was wondering if the 40 dollar gap is worth saving

for 70 bucks that isn't too bad. I don't plan on overclocking my i5-4690k for a couple years when I need to squeeze some extra juice out of it, but nothing crazy, and I plan on upgrading my 270x to a gtx 970 around christmas time or something better for around 350. With directx12 coming and integrated graphics support I thingk the gaming 5 would be worth it, what is your recommended board around 125 dollars and do you think I would need these features?

Here is a CPU / Mobo combo. You should change the PSU before you change/upgrade as the CX is low quality (Corsair C series and some others are pretty low quality ) Wattage does not mean as much as quality but this one will support a 980ti. Note the 650w is cheaper than the 550w right now.

heyyy, even better, My rig now is an
amd fx6300
asus m5a99fx pro r2.0(selling both of these to get i5-4690k and z97 mobo)
500 gb 7200 rpm
corsair cx600 psu
asus amd r9 270x(upgrading around christmas), looking to spend around 300
so I guess in total for the mobo, processor and gpu that's about 600 between now and the end of the year, gonna get a ssd and bigger hdd sometime so an extra 125, maybe I'll even get those for christmas, but right now I'm looking to spend around 350 for the processor and motherboard

the motherboard seems to be out of stock on superbiiz, any other recommendations or would my best bet be 110 for that same mobo from newegg? Also thanks for the help, I thought corsair was made with seasonic parts which are really good? is it just the c series or are they bad in general? will definitely get the upgrade though

edit, now it says in stock
