Same sound card as me, and mine works fine. Samuel has already replied
with some comments in your other post, but here are some more
suggestions :
- like Sam said, do you get sound in Windows but not in game, or no
sound at all?
- have you installed Creative's drivers for the card? You really should
to get the full benefit - particularly if you want to talk in CS:S
- what motherboard do you have? Does it have onboard sound? If it
does, it may be causing a clash with your SB Live! Disable it in
bios.
- check the little things like speakers plugged in right socket, plugged
in to the right soundcard if your m/b has onboard
- check the game's settings and test sound. Can't remember it is in HL2
or CS:S but it is there somewhere.
You really should post a more descriptive subject header rather than
just "help" - doesn't really let anyone know what your post really is
about.
