A) ALL CAPS IS SHOUTING...ahem, its not polite to post in all caps.
B) Linux (not linix and not linex) has a tribes 2 version, but its coded
by loki, who is now out of business, but you might find it used.
c) Check you local LUG (Linux user group, check one of local university
papers, they normally advertise and in many cases are run on campus) for
used linux software.

I should note here that Gentoo has an emergable 'tribes2'; dunno how
well it works. (Not sure if I'd recommend Gentoo for a newbie, either,
but at least it's there -- and that means it's elsewhere as well.)

I see no 'tribes', though.

It's still legal to go .sigless.

http://packages.gentoo.org/ebuilds/?tribes2-25034

AFAIK, Sierra's been silent on whether it's ok to make this freely
available. Anyone know better?

I don't know but with releasing it on filespot, and the DVD with the CGW
issue, I think they would have a hard time proving any loss of income
if/when it ever came to court, I think provided you dont alter the
original packaging (whatever .exe .msi etc they provide) and keep the
license and copyrights intact you would be ok.
