i own a lexmark impact s305. ive been told that this printer prints directly onto dvd disk. i need to find compatable hardware for this printer. what is the hardware that is needed? where can i buy this hardware from? and also how much will it cost??

Just to make clear what you are asking. Do you want to print a image/text directly onto a printable DVD? (You have to buy a DVD blank with a factory applied white label)

Their is a technology called LightScribe that burns/Etches( non-color)a image on a disk, although you need to buy discs that support that format.

I checked out this model on the Lexmark website and I don't see that it can use either LightScribe or a printable DVD.

Epson or HP is your best bet for a printable DVD, or you will just have to print out labels.
