I just started to build a pc and me, a stupid idiot, forgot to put on the air cooler and had already turned on the psu and pressed the start button . so i turned it off and put on the cooler now the psu will turn on then immediately turn back off and the light near the led numbers is static white crosshair vii btw

Solution
So recently i got a new motherboard (Crosshair VII) and once i set everything up it didn't work, and i found out if you update your bios it might work so i did that but it still wouldn't work. So could this potentially void the warrenty? Because I heard that if you update bios and it doesn't work correctly it could screw up my warranty. So, is this true?
If you can access Bios then check what version your on and see if in fact it's updated.
If you can't access Bios then use the flashback facility on your rear IO panel and reflash with a USB.
When you say it did not work, what exactly did not work?

During POST, did you observe your QCODE led? Where and if it stops will indicate your issue. Take note of the code and report back.
Ryzen 2700X
Crosshair VII Hero
Corsair RM850x
Gigabyte 2080 Gaming OC
and according to a reddit post i made someone says that there is something wrong with my power supply or mobo

I was doing my build in a rush even though there was no time limit for me and i somehow forgot to put on my aio! So, as i’ve already turned on the power supply and pressed the start button on the mobo, i flick the power supply. After i’ve put the aio on I started the computer and it wouldn’t work. Was my mistake the cause of this failure?

Check all connections again,
Eventually reset the bios

Which hardware is used?
I have a Ryzen 2700x
Crosshair VII Hero
16 GB Trident Z Ram
RM850X
and if you need more info tell me. I actually unplugged everything and replugged and it still had a white led glowing on the corner and above it read dE,Ad,30,06,01,50 and btw the rgb and all the fans worked fine it just wasn’t showing anything on screen

According to the asus support chat the f4-3200c14d-16gtzrx is not compatible t9 the crosshair vii hero. Is this true? because the ram is supposed to be compatible with ryzen and is on the qvl list on the skill website

Just because the ram isnt on the qvl doesnt mean it doesnt work, rather it may have never been tested.

That ram is likely b die so it has a great chance that it will work just fine.

Bios updates, 2nd gen ryzen improved imc, and 400 series boards have made memory compatability pretty good for ryzen

ok so there’s a good chance the ram is compatible?

White Q-LED (3rd of the four Q-LEDs) means: A graphics card is missing or something is wrong with it. The Ryzen doesn´t provide an integrated graphics unit, so the motherboard´s connections are not enabled/usable. You will need to get a graphics card or an APU processor with integrated graphics unit.

Other than that the code 50 says that the memory is not correctly installed or incompatible. Where did you plug in the RAM? Recommended slots from ASUS would be slot A2 and B2 (for dual channel, if you are using 2 sticks). That´s from the CPU the 2nd and the 4th slot.
Updating the BIOS could help there too, via the flashback feature of your motherboard:

Thanks i was thinking of doing something like what your recommending but wasn’t sure what it was. But do you know any ways to fix the graphics card issue because the gpu seems to be working fine ( by that i mean rgb glowing and fan spinning). And yes i did the correct ram orientation.

Hey i just tried to download the bios but i can’t figure out how to do that. It keeps showing a winrar file andy idk what to do after i got that. if you don’t mind could you help me out?

Ryzen 2700X
Crosshair VII Hero
Corsair RM850x
Gigabyte 2080 Gaming OC

Turning on a system just for a few seconds without the cooler on should not do anything. Unplug the power supply from wall power, remove the CMOS battery from the system, hold in the power button for about 10 seconds. Plug everything back in and see if it starts. You may want to have someone look over the setup with you to make sure all the cords and hardware is in properly.

This one ? https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VII-HERO/
Check the manual, it has a button and a way to upgrade/downgrade/fix BIOS even if wrong one is installed and even without CPU.
And no, warranty can be voided only with physical damage.
