Hey,

I just bought myself a new graphics card and now my PC reboots itself in the middle of the game. I was afraid of this happening and i'm thinking the PSU cant' take it anymore, but i have no idea how to be sure as i am not very knowledgeable in this 'area' , so to speak.
Specs are as follows and please let me know if there is anything i missed:
PSU: Corsair VS 650
Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A-DS3 (rev. 3.0)
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition
GPU: GTX 1650 Ventus XS 4G OC
RAM: 2x2GB HyperX DDR3 1333Mhz (PC3-10600), 1x4GB HyperX Savage DDR3 1600Mhz (PC12800)
Thank you.

No, I have not. I have had problems in the past with my CPU overheating because the cooler is small. Also, when i installed the graphics card it actually came to mind that i might have a temp problem because i placed it in the lower PCI slot and it's seemed to close to the bottom end of the computer case. I'll do as you say and come back with an update. Thanks a lot.

Is there a reason why you installed it into the lower pci slot? Might cap your performance as the upper one is an x16 and the lower one is running at x4

Well. i thought it would receive a surplus of heat from the processor on the upper slot.
The CPU and GPU temperatures seem to be stable at 44 and 35 deg C respectively with small spikes of 3-4 deg in certain zones of the game. My pc reboots only 2 times a day max. Should i monitor all day or.. ?

I did some more testing and the CPU is definitely the problem. I'll buy a new cooler and that's that. I also moved the GPU on the upper slot like you said. Thank you so much for the help.
