help!!!

Ok so i got a gigabyte motherboard GA-965p-Ds3. i noticed ever since i bought the motherboard about 3 months ago that when you turn it on it turns on for a sec then pauses then continues to boot. i figured this was just normal. now 3 months later i go to boot up and it boots for a half second then shuts off and never trys to continue. I tryed checking all connections, i checked the powersupply and the switch. they all checked out good. I cleared cmos and still nothing. Is my motherboard fried????? ive checked pretty much everything. the processor is an Intel core 2 duo.

board grounded? shorting out maybe--

Cut all power to board pull the CMOS batt then boot it up (without batt) whilst live reboot it a few times and hopefully BIOS recovery will help, please let me know how it goes?!
