What is your question? Or, do you just want to compare notes?

Given the expertise available throughout the forum, ownership of your particular mobo is not required to solve 99.9999% of issues with a specific model of component.

Also, a complete listing of your components would assist in any subsequent questions that will follow, to include which version of Windows (or OS of choice) you are using.

Hi there & thanks for replying, OK the one thing i have been trying to do for about 3 months now is to upgrade my ram from 4gb 2x2 TO 8gb 2x4 my MOBO can handle a maximum of 8gb but it will not except any of the 4gb ram sticks that i install i have also tried one stick at a time & still nothing so i'd say the ram is fine here are PC specs MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-G41MT-S2P PROCESSOR: Intel(R) Celeron(R) E3400 @ 2.60Ghz 2600mhz 2 core(S) 2 logical processor(S) OS:Windows 7 Ultimate x64 GRAPHICS: NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 1GB SUPPORTED RAM : DDR3 1333/1066/800mhz 1.5v RAM CURRENTLY USED: 2x2 Kingston DDR3 1333mhz 1.5v PC3-10700 667mhz RAM I TRIED TO INSTALL: x2 A-RAM DDR3 4GB 1333mhz LODIMM P/N: AR4GB1333D3V if u need anymore details about my PC just let me know any help would be fantastic THANKS

At first guess, it would seem that the desired 2x4GB A-RAM memory is not compatible with your motherboard. It appears to be bog standard memory, but apparently your mobo doesn't like it. I would recommend you exchange for G-Skill, Corsair, or Kingston memory.

Hi again thanks for your response i will exchange the ram when i can i think KINGSTON ram should do it considering my mobo is running kingstons at the moment BUT in the mean time do u have any tips, tricks or metherds that i could try while i still have the 2x4s to try to get them working??? If yes then that would be good practice for me & most helpful MY THANKS

You can try to reset the BIOS of your motherboard. Otherwise there is nothing you can do if the hardware is not compatible. Good luck. Make sure your BIOS settings are on auto.

OK just to be sure do you mean reflash the mobo or to just reset the bios if it is to reset the bios what would the safest way to do that??? sorry i am still a bit of a noob.

I am just talking about the BIOS settings. No need to flash or update the BIOS.
