I just built my computer and now whenever I attempt to play a game it crashes right on startup or within 10 min. of playing, all my drivers are up to date and can't figure out what's wrong or whether its a software or hardware problem.
I'm running windows 8

Evga gtx680 signature super clocked+
16gb dominator platinum memory
Intel i5-3570k processor
OCZ 1000w power supply

How are your temps when starting the game? At idle?

At idle they are 41c for GPU and 32-38c for CPU
At start up GPU goes to about 50c and about 55c sometimes closer to 60c for CPU

Just for reference, but Im running a fan based system using an old 902 antec case...but my i7-2700k sits idle at 23C and caps out at 38C when playing games. My old 9800 GTX+ was hitting 60C and locking up the system, replaced it and no lockups. The new 660 TI sits idle at 29C and goes up to 40C-48C while gaming.
