Hi,
i recently purchased a new cpu cooler for my pc but it turns ot that it dosen't support the processor.The processor is... intel pentium 4 and the cooling fan is....Intel Socket 775 Copper Core/Aluminum Heat Sink & 3.5" Fan w/4-Pin Connector.what should i do?? thanks

+1 for the title. Which CPU exactly do you have? It's probably a socket 478 in which case you'll have to return (or throw out) the cooler you bought and either go back to the stock cooler or buy a new cooler that fits that socket.

its a pentium p4 530j 3.0ghz ht 1 mb 800mhz lga775 cpu sl7pu. on the invoice it is written" This heat sink and fan does not support Pentium 4 or Pentium D processors"

i am also confused myself. acctually i've already conected everything and it fits perfectly.but i haven't turn on the pc yet.i don't know what's going to happen.
