HELP!!!!!!!!

i have a prophet 2 mx 32mb pci and I CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO GET THE STUPID HEATSINK OFF! how do i get the stupid thing off?

If it's glued on, just use a pocket knife to pop it off. Stick the blade between the chip mounting point and the heatsink. It should take very little pressure.

Here is another way.

Get a can of compressed air.
Hold it upside down and freeze in between the heatsink/gpu.
Then take your knife and pop it off.

well it doesnt look like its glued on... it looks like there are two plastic nail looking things holding it on but i cant seem to pull them out...

That's even better. Just get a pair of tweezers and squeeze the ends of the nails together. It's kind of hard to explain but they should pop out. If they dont come off just cut the plastic nails.

The good part about this is if the holes line up properly you can slap that blue orb on without using any epoxy. The blue orbs come with some plastic retaining pins to match the holes up.
