Hey, everyone. I hope you are all doing fine right now. If you have time to spare please help my mom build her own desktop because her laptop is really acting weird every time now especially with so much files she was downloading for her works and reports.

I just wanna ask if you could recommend any pc build (with complete hardware and peripherals) that she can use. We are in around Asia and her budget is $500 only. Also she will be using many software like Microsoft office, google meet and little bit of video editing (i think/guess) and may i add that she will be using a lot of storage for downloading documents and presentation. I believe that's all the things she'll use the computer for.

Oh and if you have that a recommendation for cam and mic that are not that expensive but can be okay for online class , it will be helpful!

Thank you in advance everyone!! God bless!!!!

Hello ,
I would recommend a i3 10100 which is a quad core CPU with onboard graphics, 16 GB of RAM with a H410 series motherboard. Here are some links from Newegg Hongkong to get you an indicative pricing of Asia.
CPU-https://www.newegg.com/global/hk-en/intel-core-i3-10100-core-i3-10th-gen/p/N82E16819118138?Description=10100&cm_re=10100-_-19-118-138-_-Product&quicklink=true
Motherboard-https://www.newegg.com/global/hk-en...re=H410-_-13-119-301-_-Product&quicklink=true
RAM-https://www.newegg.com/global/hk-en/g-skill-16gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232090?Description=DDr 4 Ram&cm_re=DDr_4 Ram--20-232-090--Product&quicklink=true
You can add any 1TB HDD and some good ones are Seagate, WD and Adata. Same goes with monitor, PC case and Keyboard-Mouse combo: get the ones that is cheapest in your area/preferred website. You can approximate within your budget to see what fits you the best.
I recommend a good 450 watt PSU from Corsair or EVGA and you have a rock solid system for general purpose use, office suite and video editing. This is a good PSU:

If you wish for an AMD based rig only things would change would be the Ryzen 3 CPU and compatible motherboard and remaining things can be constant:
CPU:https://www.newegg.com/global/hk-en/amd-ryzen-3-3200g/p/N82E16819113571?&quicklink=true
Motherboard:https://www.newegg.com/global/hk-en/msi-b450m-pro-vdh-max/p/N82E16813144265

Cam and Mic- Logitech C270 would be a good choice.

What model of laptop, and specs? It could be it just need a bit of an upgrade, which would save you some money. Otherwise, I would see if Dell Outlet sells in your region. You might be able to find a good deal on a refurb, that comes with the same warranty as new.
