I'm doing an Imperial Legion quest in Ald-ruhn that requires me to search a
pottery enthusiasts' house for Dwemer artifacts and then bring them back to
the Knight-Commander (or Imperial Overlord or Mistress of Dark Enthusiasms
or whatever), but I can't find any Dwemer ANYTHING in his house, on it, or
near it...

Am I missing something?

Yup - that's one of my least favorite quests in the whole game since I
*really* hate quests that come down to where you put your mouse.

Try exploring the house from say a 45 degree angle if you don't want
to steal everything in plain view!

There is an item there, hidden between his pots. It has no ownership, so
you don't need to sneak while taking it, but it is very well hidden and
hard to find. I eventually found it after jumping up on top of all his
furniture and looking down.

Wow, I had big problems with that one too. The thing is there, but it's
hard to see.

I think on the table, right next to where the guy is standing. Between some
pottery, that is on that table (not the desk).
I wonder why that is so small artifact? I mean normally every dwemer thing
is BIG and HEAVY.. oh well..
