Alright i think i finally decided what i want to do i found a really cheap psu that should be able to run a 4670 gddr3 1gb.
OUTPUT 300w max +12v - / 19a -12v - / 0.8A
+5v - / 30a +5vsb - / 2A
+3.3v - / 28A
+5v & +3.3v 180w max & +5 & +12v 288w max
Anyone see a problem with the amps and all that? my cpu is a athlon x2 4800+ 65w and the 4670 is 70w and thats all my computer really has so will this be good to go? Thanks for the help again i love this website 😉

You may be on a tight budget, but one of the things you never skimp on is a PSU.

It does not matter what wattage it is, it is the quality of how it is built as a main factor.
As long as the PSU is made buy a known good branded manufacturer then buy it.
Stay away from unknown names and what look like a real good deal for a cheap price.

Because what always happens is when the power supply fails through a fault, if it is cheap is it takes all of the other components out as well GC, Cpu and board, and memory.
Cheap PSU simply do not have the protection features, you will find in a known brand name, It is one of the main reasons why good branded ones are more expensive.

Consider this for a $20 psu and for it to fail taking all the other components out in the process, how much would it cost to replace all of the parts due to a cheap $20 PSU. One step forward and two back because of it.

Is the PSU made by a well known brand ?
Cheap ones often lie about the specs, or fall far bellow what they state on the side.
It may work, but people will say do not trust a cheap PSU on the basis stated above.
Yes it should run, just keep in mind the consequences, of having a cheap not well unbranded Psu in the system.

One word Ugh!, honestly no.
How much can you spend on a Psu ? let us know.
We know what wattage an amps are required.
And may be able to at least point you in the right direction.
Or try to source something a little better.

i was only looking to spend 15-20$ max old computer not worth a 40-50$ psu
