Hi,

I have got two Sapphire AMD 7950's Dual-x 3GB GDDR5.

My CPU is : AMD 3.5 AM3+ FX 6-Core Edition FX-6300

RAM : Corsair Vengeance DDR3 4 GB (1 x 4 GB) PC RAM

PSU: Seasonic SS-750KM3 750 Watts PSU

I am not sure which motherboard, cabinet and hdd to choose for the above components.

Can you please list some which is best optimized with above listed components.

One more thing Am from India and if you can send me the link of MB,HDD and case from any indian retailers then it would be much grateful..

Thanks in Advance.

the FXA comes with the newer 990FX chipset for your processor
with this chipset, pcie x16/x16 crossfire is supported

the XA comes with an "older" chipset and supports "only" x8/x8 in crossfire

with the FXA, you got twice the bandwidth in crossfire as with the XA, so go for the FXA

It depends on your budget, but for the motherboard, I would go with a Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 and a 1 TB HDD from either Western Digital or Seasonic.

The case is a matter of preference, but I generally recommend Corsair and Fractal Design enclosures. Be sure to take a look.

Have fun building !

is this board Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 ok??

What is the difference between 990FXA-UD3 and Gigabyte 990XA-UD3?

Thanks for your reply

yeah sure, that will not be the problem
personally, in your case, there is no need to upgrade from a FX 6300 to the FX 8xxx series
the perfomance jump is relatively small compared to the price you pay, the 6300 is great, I would just opt for an aftermarket cooling solution and overclock it a little

There is a slight change in GPU... i would be going for two Sapphire R9 280x Vapor-X as there is no availability of Sapphire 7950 .

am now in trouble whether these components will still be matched perfectly with the newly suggested GPU..also i read that i need to have 1000W PSU if am overclocking these two GPU's in xFire..is that True?

Really Confused

sapphire suggests a 1000W psu for two of these in crossfire, i know, but that's a little overkill

I would opt for a 80+ gold certificated 850W, then you sould be really fine
