Hello,

In about 2 weeks, I will have enough money saved to upgrade my pc. I already have a GPU Club3d RoyalQueen 2gb R9 270X. I am planning on getting a new CPU a new MOBO and more RAM. But, I am really hesitating wether I should get 8gb ram or 16gb ram. The reason why Im hesitating is because on the 8th of december a new Hitman game will be released and the system requirements are quite hefty. It recommends 12 gb of ram... I know that 8gb is the sweetspot for gaming.. And the minimum is 8gb ram.. Can someone please give me some suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

8GB works, but with games already using and calling for 8GB and upcoming games even calling for more, 16GB would be the sweet spot, I'd say for a couple of years anyway. DRAM seems to double as far as needs go every 2-2.5 years

16GB is pretty cheap, and DDR3 is slowly getting cheaper. As long as you aim for something along the lines of a CAS 9 and 1600, you should be golden. 8GB might be good for this game, but what about the next and other future programs. If you are working on upgrading, I would go ahead and snag up the 16 and not worry about RAM for another few years.
