Before explaining my issue in depth, here is a list of my drives included in the issue.
Drive list:
I recently had a critical incident regarding my two old HDD's when switching parts to a new build, which resulted in them dying. The cause is still not 100% known, but I am quite sure they got fried from receiving too much voltage. I then bought Hetman Partition Recovery software and have since then played around with all my drives to see what forgotten things I could recover. When running the program for lost partitions I am met with two things I don't understand:
Does anyone have experience with this software, or know how I might be stupid and have had these partitions all along?
Drive list:
- 960 EVO 500GB M2
- 970 EVO 500GB M2 (always solely used for OS and software except steam.
- 860 EVO 1TB SSD
- 860 EVO 265GB SDD

I then bought Hetman Partition Recovery software and have since then played around with all my drives to see what forgotten things I could recover. When running the program for lost partitions I am met with two things I don't understand:
1. It finds 6 lost partitions which are all FAT16. I have had several EXFAT partitions both from veracrypt partitions but also the entire SSD drives to use between my Mac and Windows PC. the HDD's which are the only ones with large enough memory has not been EXFAT partitioned but only had a file container. I have no memory of ever having a FAT16 partition on any device.
2. The partition sizes range from 1.5- to a whopping 12 TB. As my largest drive was the 6TB HDD I don't understand how it can find a 12TB partition even if I have had an FAT16 in the past.
Does anyone have experience with this software, or know how I might be stupid and have had these partitions all along?
