Hewlett-Packard 786H1 v01.13, 14/07/2011 compatibility questions

I have a quite old pc and i wanna know if i it is compatible with a GTX 660 NVIDIA graphic card

786H v01.13 is a BIOS version for the 8100 Elite, so I am going to assume that is what you have.

If this is the SFF (small form factor) version of the computer, then no.

If this is the larger version, there is still a major problem. The power supply in that computer does not supply enough power for the GTX 660. While you could get a new power supply, it may not fit and the motherboard does not have the standard 20 (or 24) pin connector.

Short answer ... it would be difficult to get that card working in that system.

It have a graphic card quite good after all (for a few games xD) maybe the processor can change something? here my processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 650 @ 3.20GHz, 3333 Mhz, 2 core,
8 GB RAM
Nvidia 710 graphic card.

With a 750 you would add 2 cores, but you would loose a bit of single core speed. So, good for newer games, bad for older games.

Look for an i5-760 or an i7-870 or i7-880 those would be even better (if available).

What type you mean for OLD GAMES? that of 3 years ago are old?

This is all about the proper use of multi-threading in programming. Games before 2012 were generally written for 2 core CPUs. As 4 cores become more common, game creators adapted. Those with more money and resources adapted sooner. So, 6+ years for major titles. 3+ years for lesser titles.

I found a good Gtx 760 at good price,i think i'm gona buy it. Thank you for all the help.
