what I wanted to ask was if the amd fx8350 will work with the asus m5a99fx motherboard. sorry if this is a pretty dumb question I'm new to building pc's
I have the motherboard but not the cpu it is on sale right now though and I don't think I would be able to upgrade for several years so that's why i'm considering just getting this cpu as right now I have an fx 4300Yes. But unless you already have these parts, I wouldn't recommend starting a build with them.
$60 I also don't know what nm is sorry. How much is it? FX CPUs are almost outdated at the moment you can't expect a lot from these... if you working with lite weight applications i wouldn't recommend this CPU main because it draw too much power and gets heat compared to what it offer.. also can't expect that much durability either but if you're not willing upgrade the whole system in near future this will help you get yourself much higher.. 8350 is better than 4300 and perform in a same class as a 2nd Gen i7 but it's better if can come to something 14nm or maybe 22nm at least.
