NOTE: Befor I start - I have just purchased a gaming rig (Over 1k, will be here within the next couple of days) and this will be my first "Build" (I'm getting A+ Certified through my VoTech where I live, among other certificates for computers). So here is that template :)

Approximate Purchase Date: Sometime within the next year

Budget Range: $0.00-$500.00

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Internet, Online Banking, watching videos, maybe some very light games, like ones a cheap GPU could handle.

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any reputable website or business.

Country of Origin: United States

Parts Preferences: I would like to have a quad core @ 2Ghz minimum made by AMD;

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: Anything you'd consider standard

Additional Comments: I will be building this (Out of my own pocket) for my Parents and maybe a little use by myself. It needs to have a GPU that supports HDMI, or atleast DVI as I'd like to connect it to my Father's HDTV in the basement. I'd like atleast 4GB RAM, and the HDD doesn't have to be huge, but should be atleast 300GBs. Windows 7 Would be nice, but if you can't fit that into budget - I can install Linux or something.

I already have a case - But it's old and if you have anything cheap that looks awesome, tell me about it.

Currently an AMD APU build would best suit your needs:

CPU+GPU: A6-3650 $120
Mobo: FM1 mobo ~$75
Memory: 2x2GB 1.5V CAS9 1600Mhz $28
DVD writer: $20
HDD: Sata II/III 500GB $40
Case: Antec 300 $50
PSU: Antec EA-380D $45
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit $99.99

~$478 ( You can upgrade to A8-3850 for $20 more $499 with that )

Thanks, sounds like a good plan. The number one reason I want to build a "lower-quality" system is A) If I **** up, it won't be a huge issue. B) It's my first build so I want to start easy, and C) It's for my parents, they won't use a GPU that can play BF3 on high nor will they need anything over 2Ghz quadcore haha. Thanks again mate I'll look into those things but if anyone has other suggestions - Please send them forward.
