Hey guys? Is this a good update?

Hey guys, so if I go from this setup : CPU Intel E6320 dual core 1,86 GHz ; GPU nVidia geforce 9500 GT to this setup:

CPU Intel Q6600 quad core 2.40 GHz ; GPU ATI HD 5770.

Would there be a good update? With an improvement in gaming?

I currently have 2 GB ram, planning on getting 4.

It would certainly be an improvement. With the right motherboard and heatsink you can also overclock a Q6600 to 3.6Ghz with relative ease. 3.0 Ghz without even needing a better heatsink usually. Still a potent chip that can handle all but the toughest modern games.

I assume you are buying the 5770 used? Really no need to limit your self there. A new 7750 would perform better, but the minimum I would get is a 7770 with GDDR5 or a GTX650Ti.
